Mary faces the mob

Five mafia types sit in a circle around a stylishly dressed 50s-something woman, who sits in the center, trembling in business skirt and jacket and stocking feet.
“Now Mary,’ says the big guy sitting directly in front of the woman, “just relax. You know this is just business. Nothing personal. Just tell us what you know and we’re done. We leave. That’s it.”
The woman twisted her hands nervously. “Look, I’ll tell you what I know, but ….”
“Wonderful,” the man says, sitting back with a smile. “I know you wouldn’t give us any trouble. Didn’t I say that boys? I said, Mary’s a pal. She knows us. She’ll help us out. Didn’t I say that?”
“Yep, boss,” one man replied. The others nodded as well.
